Analogy & Classification: Score 5+ Marks in 5 Minutes

Analogy and Classification together carry 5-8 marks in SSC exams and are the quickest to solve. Here's how to maximize your score.

Common Analogy Types

Number analogies: Check for square, cube, prime relationships. 4:16 :: 5:? (Answer: 25, square relationship). Letter analogies: Check position values (A=1, B=2...). ABC:CBA :: DEF:? (Reverse pattern = FED).

Classification/Odd One Out

Look for: Same category (all fruits except one), same property (all even except one), same pattern (all composite except one prime). The odd one out is the one that doesn't share the common property.

Speed Strategy

These should take 20-30 seconds each. If you can't spot the pattern in 30 seconds, mark it for review and move on. Come back to it later with fresh eyes. Practice 20 analogy questions daily to build pattern recognition.
