Simplification carries 5 easy marks in every banking Prelims paper. With the right technique, you can score all 5 in under 3 minutes.
BODMAS Mastery
Always follow: Brackets → Orders (powers) → Division → Multiplication → Addition → Subtraction. Most errors happen when students skip the order.
Approximation Technique
Round each number to the nearest friendly number. √(624) ≈ √625 = 25. 29.97% of 400.13 ≈ 30% of 400 = 120. Check if options are spread enough for approximation to work — they usually are.
Squares & Cubes to Memorize
Squares: 1-30 (must know). Cubes: 1-15 (must know). Square roots: Learn perfect squares up to 900. These help in instant recognition during the exam.
